If you enjoy gathering with others to play games,
we have a variety to choose from.
ACCESS ART: This group gathers on Wednesday afternoons at 1 PM from September to June. Members explore different mediums such as water-colour, acrylics, oils, pastels, collages, pencils, and ink. The themes range from abstract to realistic art. People of all skill levels are encouraged to join.
BOOK CLUB: The book club convenes on the fourth Thursday of each month at 1 PM. Members share insights about their current reads, and there is typically a special reading assignment focused on a book, author, or topic. Refreshments are provided, and a book draw takes place. The fee is a toonie ($2), which helps cover refreshments and large print books for the Bay Shore Library.
CRAFTS: The craft group meets on Tuesday afternoons at 1 PM from September to June, except for the second Tuesday of each month. Members create various crafts for the Craft Bazaar and charitable causes. There are always experienced members ready to teach newcomers knitting or crocheting. The group contributes a significant amount of money to Bay Shore annually from their sales.
WOOD CARVING: Wood Carvers meet on Friday afternoons at 1 PM. All are invited to participate, regardless of experience, in activities such as chip carving, relief carving, sculptures, and wood burning. Some tools are available for new members.
